Appalachian Trail Charity Hike

A new annual hike on the Appalachian Trail, led by our Chaplain, Bro. Robert Streeter, raising money and awareness for wildlife conservation. First hike planned for spring 2027.

The Appalachian Trail Charity Hike is a new annual event for King Lodge No. 461. Each year, Brothers and friends of the Lodge will hit the trail to raise money and awareness for the conservation of wildlife, helping protect the animals and wild places that make our mountains special.

Led by our Chaplain

The hike is being organized by our Chaplain, Bro. Robert Streeter, an avid hiker and lifelong lover of the outdoors. Robert is bringing his experience on the trail to plan a hike that Brothers, families and friends can enjoy together.

Why the Appalachian Trail

Bristol sits in the heart of the Southern Appalachians, with the Appalachian Trail running through the mountains just a short drive away. The forests, streams and ridgelines around us are home to an incredible variety of wildlife, and they need people willing to look after them.

Coming in spring 2027

The first hike is in the planning stages for spring 2027. The date, trail section and details on how to take part, sponsor a hiker or donate will be announced here and on our events calendar.
