Fellowcraft Degree
On Thursday, March 20th, 2025, the brothers of King Lodge No. 461 F.&A.M. in Bristol, Tennessee gathered for a special evening of Masonic fellowship and tradition. A called meeting was held to pass the Brother to the degree of Fellowcraft.
The degree was conferred with solemnity and skill by Worshipful Master David Smith, who led the evening with dignity and dedication. The Brother was received in due and ancient form, and the lessons of the Fellowcraft degree were delivered with the care and reverence they deserve.
The Chaplain, Bro. Clarence Crump, opened the evening with an invocation, and the assembled brethren welcomed the presence of several distinguished guests, including Right Worshipful Senior Grand Warden Wes Edens, whose attendance added a special weight to the evening’s proceedings. Accompanying him was Mr. Jim McGlothlin, whose grandfather was a member of King Lodge. It was a meaningful moment for all, especially as Secretary Weston Leonard was able to show Brother McGlothlin the original lodge records, including minutes and visitor logs, from the very nights his grandfather received his three degrees—a powerful reminder of the legacy and generational bonds that Freemasonry fosters.
Among those present were 13 Masons, representing three different lodges:
- – M.M. Martin Lodge No. 547
- – Zollicoffer Lodge No. 444
- – Concord Lodge No. 307
Also in attendance was Bro. Jim Pepper, a Fifty-Year Mason, whose wisdom and continued presence in the Craft are a testament to the lifelong journey of Masonic service.
After the degree was conferred, appropriate remarks were made by the Worshipful Master and visiting brethren. The newly made Brother was recognized and warmly welcomed by all as he continues his journey toward more light in Masonry.
As always, the Lodge was closed in due form and harmony.
We congratulate the Brother on reaching this important milestone and thank all who came to support his advancement. May the light he has received guide him on a path of growth, virtue, and understanding.
So mote it be.
