King Lodge No. 461 Hosts Memorable Fellowcraft Degree

January 9th, 2025 – Bristol, TN

 

On a cold winter night, King Lodge No. 461 F.&A.M. in Bristol, Tennessee, warmly welcomed brothers and visitors for an exceptional Fellowcraft Degree. The evening was marked by camaraderie and great fellowship. This special occasion brought together brethren from several lodges and celebrated the enduring bonds of Freemasonry.


A Wonderful Meal and Fellowship

The evening began with a hearty meal that received glowing approval from attendees. Notably, Bro. Ken Albritton, Worshipful Master of Rhea Lodge No. 47 and Grand Master of the Knife and Fork Degree, praised the culinary efforts, adding his esteemed “Fork of Approval” to the event. The warmth of fellowship transcended the cold weather, as members and visitors alike shared stories, laughter, and the spirit of brotherhood.


An Honored Candidate and Visiting Brothers

The degree was conferred by W.M. David Smith, who ensured the ceremony was conducted with the utmost respect for tradition and decorum. The candidate expressed heartfelt gratitude for the degree and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing to the Master Mason Degree. His sincerity and enthusiasm were an inspiration to all in attendance.


King Lodge No. 461 was honored by the presence of several distinguished visitors, including:

  • Bro. Chris Breland, Worshipful Master of Johnson City Lodge No. 486, who graciously served as Junior Deacon for the evening.

  • Bro. Ken Albritton, Worshipful Master of Rhea Lodge No. 47 and Grand Master of the Knife and Fork Degree.

Their participation enriched the degree and exemplified the unity of Freemasonry across lodges.


Recognition and Attendance

The evening saw representation from three lodges:

  • Johnson City Lodge No. 486

  • Rhea Lodge No. 47

  • Whiteside Lodge No. 13

Of the 16 Masons in attendance, ten were members of King Lodge, and seven were visiting brothers. Special recognition was given to Bro. Jim Pepper, a 50-year Mason whose dedication to the craft serves as a beacon of inspiration.
