The Breakfast Was Never About the Bacon

Our volunteers were up at 3:00 AM, but the real reward of the community breakfast is a dining room full of Brothers, friends and neighbors sharing a meal.

The alarm went off at 3:00 this morning, but the breakfast was never really about the bacon, biscuits, gravy, cinnamon rolls, or even the blueberry swim butter biscuits.

The food simply gives us a reason to gather.

The real reward is seeing the dining room full of brothers, friends, neighbors, and visitors sharing a meal together. Fellowship is becoming harder to find in today’s world, yet once a month we get to sit around the same tables, enjoy good food, and catch up with one another.

A special thank you to all the brothers who help make these breakfasts possible each month. From setting up tables, cooking, serving, greeting guests, washing dishes, and cleaning up afterward, it takes a team effort. Most people only see breakfast being served, but there are many hours of work behind the scenes.

Thank you to everyone who came out this morning and helped make it another successful community breakfast. Seeing the lodge full makes every early morning worth it.
