Notable Past Masters
H. W. Naff (1884 to 1886, 1888, 1892 and 1893) served six separate annual terms as Worshipful Master over a span of about ten years, guiding the Lodge through its growth in the downtown State Street commercial district.
Albert Parlett (1894) was President of the Bristol Telephone Company and an investor in local infrastructure, including early traction and warehouse enterprises along State Street.
J. H. Swan, Sr. and Jr. were among the Lodge’s earliest father and son pairs to serve as Master. J. H. Swan, Sr. served three consecutive terms (1895, 1896 and 1897), and his son J. H. Swan, Jr. followed thirteen years later, in 1910.
E. K. Bachman (1898 to 1900) was a prominent Sullivan County attorney, later of the firm Bachman & Brown, who served extensively in the local bar and county courts.
