King Lodge No. 461 Honors Masonic Milestones at Annual Awards Banquet
King Lodge No. 461 gathered for a memorable evening of fellowship and celebration during our annual Awards Banquet on November 13. With a full house, a Thanksgiving-style meal, and a room filled with good conversation, it was one of our most heartfelt gatherings of the year. Several brothers who had not been with us in some time returned, helping make the night even more meaningful.
After enjoying a wonderful meal of turkey and all the traditional sides, we turned our attention to honoring the commitment and dedication of our brethren.
This year, we proudly recognized the following brothers for their years of service:
Bro. Steven Edward King
Bro. Trever Lee Bartley
Bro. Phillip Wayne Sams – 25 Years
Bro. Robert David Barker
Bro. Paul Donald Godsey
Bro. Eddie Joe Bowers
Bro. Henry Ellis Bailey
Bro. Roy Lee Moore – 70 Years
Bro. Dozier Jack Perry
The highlight of the evening came when Bro. Roy Lee Moore stood to receive his 70-year pin and certificate. At 94 years young, he shared how Freemasonry shaped his life and the many brothers who supported him along the way. His words were inspiring and deeply appreciated by everyone present.
While not all honorees were able to attend, each will still receive their certificate and pin. Members of the lodge will be delivering these awards to their homes throughout the week, ensuring every brother is recognized and honored as they deserve.
We also paused to remember Bro. Herbert Allen Dunn, who recently passed away. Bro. Dunn was a 48-year member, raised in 1976. His certificate will be presented to his family next week in recognition of his lifelong commitment to the Craft.
The evening captured everything we cherish about Freemasonry: fellowship, gratitude, tradition, and a shared commitment to becoming better men. Thank you to everyone who helped prepare the meal, set up the lodge, and make this night special.
