King Lodge No. 461 Hosts Entered Apprentice Degree

On Thursday evening, January 15, 2026, Brothers gathered at King Lodge No. 461 F & AM in Bristol for a special night of fellowship, tradition, and growth. Though winter temperatures were cold outside, the Lodge was filled with warmth, conversation, and support for a new Brother beginning his Masonic journey.

Before the meeting, the Brethren enjoyed a homemade lasagna meal, sharing a time of fellowship that reminded us that Freemasonry is built not only on ritual and tradition, but also on friendship and community.

That evening, the Lodge welcomed the candidate, who was initiated as an Entered Apprentice Mason in a ceremony conducted with dignity and care. The degree was conferred by Brother David Smith, and the Lodge was honored by the presence of visiting Brothers and Fifty-Year Masons who shared their insights and encouragement.

Worshipful Master Billy Rivers offered thoughtful remarks and expressed appreciation to all who attended, especially those who braved the cold to support the Lodge and our newest Brother. Members, visitors, and the new entered apprentice himself were recognized and given the opportunity to speak, making the evening both meaningful and memorable.

Fifteen Masons were present, including members and visitors from Zollicoffer Lodge No. 444 and Rhea Lodge No. 47. We were also honored to have a Fifty-Year Mason in attendance, Brother Jim Pepper.

King Lodge No. 461 is grateful for the strong turnout, the shared fellowship, and the continued support of the Craft. Moments like these remind us why Freemasonry remains relevant today, bringing men together in friendship, personal growth, and service to one another and the community.

If you are a man of good character who believes in personal improvement, community involvement, and lifelong friendships, Freemasonry may be right for you. We invite anyone interested in learning more to reach out and give us a call. A simple conversation is often the first step in a meaningful journey.
