A Morning of Fellowship, Community Service, and Brotherhood at King Lodge No 461
Today, King Lodge No 461 in Bristol, TN, hosted an open house community breakfast buffet that brought together over 50 individuals for a morning of delicious food and fellowship. The event featured homemade buttermilk biscuits, savory sausage gravy, flavorful sausages, buttery soft scrambled eggs, and a crowd favorite, cheesy hashbrown casserole. This delightful meal served not only as a way to nourish the body but also as a fundraiser for our lodge’s building fund, helping to maintain and improve our cherished meeting place.
The preparations began as early as 3:00 am, with a dedicated team of brothers working tirelessly in the kitchen. The WM Justin Plaster, along with Brothers Wes Leonard, Billy Rivers, Bill Caffey, David Smith, and Lee Hoffnung, worked today’s service. Their commitment exemplifies the essence of Freemasonry—Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.
An integral part of our mission at King Lodge No 461 is giving back to our community. In addition to the breakfast served at the lodge, we prepared to-go meals for the local homeless community. These warm, hearty meals are a token of our support and compassion for those in need. Brother Billy Rivers, always generous with his time, played a crucial role in distributing these meals, ensuring they reached those who appreciated a helping hand and a warm meal.
Freemasonry is deeply rooted in the principles of charity and community service. Today’s event was a testament to these values, showcasing how our fellowship extends beyond our lodge walls and into the broader community. Through acts of kindness and service, we strive to make a positive impact, fostering a spirit of unity and brotherhood.
