Wednesday Night Practices
This Wednesday evening at King Lodge No. 461 was a shining example of what Freemasonry has stood for throughout the centuries—fellowship, mentorship, and the continual journey of making good men better.
We were honored to host not only our own members and officers but also visiting officers from Zollicoffer Lodge No. 444. Supper was a time of laughter, shared stories, and meaningful conversation—something that’s been at the heart of Masonry since the earliest lodges were formed. We even welcomed a young man who joined us for the evening to learn more about the fraternity. He shared that his grandfather was a Mason and spoke of his admiration for the role Freemasons have played throughout history—from the shaping of communities to the building of nations.
Following dinner, we gathered in the lodge room for a night of practice and hands-on learning. The older brothers worked side-by-side with the younger ones, sharing wisdom and strengthening the bond that ties all Masons together. Whether it was reviewing ritual, adjusting chairs and stations, or simply encouraging one another, the evening was a reminder that Masonry is not just a tradition—it’s a living, growing brotherhood.

For centuries, Freemasonry has been a part of the fabric of society, guiding men to lead with integrity, serve their communities, and seek truth. At King Lodge, we proudly carry that torch forward here in Bristol. If you’ve ever wondered what Masonry is all about, we invite you to join us for supper any Wednesday night at 6 PM. Come meet the brothers, enjoy a meal, and experience the fellowship for yourself.
Making good men better—one Wednesday night at a time.
