About the Copperhead Chapter

Master Masons who ride, helping Masonic widows and orphans since the Widows Sons began in 1999.

Who we are

The Copperhead Chapter is the Bristol, Tennessee chapter of the Widows Sons Masonic Riders Association, an international association of Master Masons who love to ride. We meet at King Lodge No. 461 and ride the roads of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia together.

The Widows Sons began in 1999 with one purpose at its heart: to give aid and assistance to the widows and orphans of Masons. That purpose still drives everything we do.

What we do

  • Help Masonic widows and orphans, and give regularly to Masonic and community charities
  • Introduce Masonic Brothers to motorcycling
  • Raise awareness of Freemasonry in the motorcycling community
  • Support our Blue Lodges by showing up for meetings and helping at Lodge events
  • Represent the fraternity well, on the road and off it

A riding association, not a motorcycle club

The Widows Sons is strictly a riding association of Master Masons. We are not a motorcycle club, we are not territorial, and we don't condone illegal activity of any kind. Every member is expected to conduct himself in a way that reflects well on the Association, on Freemasonry and on motorcycling in general.

Our motto is 2B1 ASK1: to be one, ask one. Like Freemasonry itself, nobody will pressure you to join. If you're interested, just ask.

Who can join

  • A Master Mason in good standing in his Lodge
  • Not under suspension or expulsion from his Blue Lodge
  • Joins through a local Widows Sons chapter, like ours

How the Widows Sons are organized

Each chapter belongs to an independent Widows Sons governing body, usually organized along the same state lines as the Grand Lodges. No single body or person speaks for all Widows Sons. You can learn more about the Association at Widows Sons International.

When we meet

The Copperhead Chapter meets on the last Saturday of every month at 10:00 AM at King Lodge, 35 5th Street, Bristol, Tennessee.
